Resources Saving Hacks You Don't Want to Miss Out On When Running Monte-Carlo

BLUF : Ensure you turn OFF (uncheck the checkbox) saving of final OP point (if your MC involves transient analysis) and ensure the Simulation > Options > Analog > Check does not have "both" or "file" for destination (disk usage)

What's bad (or good) about the default setup?

It saves the final Operating Point (OP) in a transient sim

It writes assert information to the log file (note, you need it in the sqldb for the Device Checks to be useful)

Now, given that the Monte Carlo setup is so nice as to NOT save all (but only explicitly selected) waveforms (even though the setup in ADE says to Save All) unless told to, why can't it do the same with the mostly (in MC) information that's generated from the default setup (see above two bullets)

These get populated in the Assembler Outputs Setup You will see that the "Type" is not signal but oppoint. If you click on the Details field, it splits into two - the /whatever/deviceName is on the left, and on the new field on the right, you can enter parameters appropriate for that device, like vdsat, vth, cgs, etc.  The UI is very poor, but, on the right of this field is a button you can actually click to choose from a list. It'll even run a sim if necessary! If you want these plotted, you have to check the box to the right under the Plot column.

When You Want to Get Cycle-to-Cycle Jitter at PLL Output Due to the Reference Oscillator

Caution - the script does not provide the correct result. You expect cycle-to-cycle to be a high-frequency phenomenon - and therefore, to not depend on the oscillator phase-noise or jitter. HIdden States in Your Behavioral Model

Rewrite the module to remove the hidden state or if you confirm this hidden state will not affect the simulation result, you can ignore those hidden states in RF analysis by adding attribute 'ignore_hidden_state' before the module declaration.
